Aside from the great and wonderful Myrna Loy(as well as Jeffrey Lynn and William Prince!), Sylvia Sidney holds a special place in my heart as well. Today marks what would be her 100th birthday, so in honor of her spectacular day, go and watch one of her movies! :)

i've always likd her because of her role in Alfred Hitchcock's Sabatoge, but she made many excellet films and was always worth seeing in them.
ReplyDeletei was perusing through a used book store last winter and found a hard cover book on needlepoint that was written by a woman named Sylvia Sydney and i was like could it be THE Sylvia Sydney? and sure enough it was!! and even more cool was that inside, it was signed by her! So of course i bought it, i think it was $8 or so, cant remember.
