Just when I thought things were smoothing out

Yet again, I was rushed to the er but after a lot of rest, I do feel a lot better. This has been a hellish week, but I'm trying to look on the brighter side(which has been very very hard). Something that has always put a smile on my face, and made me feel a little better was The Marx Brothers. Since the start of the week, I've been watching their earlier films, and it certainly helps with putting a smile on my face. Do you have a favorite brother and do you have a favorite movie?? Mine is definitely Zeppo(strange I know, but I adore him!) and my favorite movie is all five that Zeppo was in. Lol I know I'm a strange cookie, but I don't care. So enjoy these clips and I will post again tomorrow night! :)

Spotlight: Audrey Hepburn

For my brand new series, I thought it would be amazingly cool to write about some of my favorite things. I didn't want to go with obvious choices(such as Myrna Loy or better yet Jeffrey Lynn) so I opted for my second faves and beyond instead.

First up on the agenda is Audrey Hepburn, ever since I heavily got into old movies, Audrey Hepburn has been in my top five favorite actresses. From Princess Anne in "Roman Holiday" to Nicole in"How to Steal a Million", I've always been drawn to her charming and enchanting characters. She seemed so down to earth and sweet, and seemed like she cared more about others than herself, which I admire immensely. Also she inspired me to cut my hair ultra short(Ginnifer Goodwin also inspired me to chop my locks) and I loved it! So lets take a gander at my five favorite Audrey films, and if you want, you can post your favorites as well.

"Breakfast at Tiffany's"(1961):

Breakfast at Tiffany's is my absolute favorite movie No matter the mood, I can watch this movie and every time I see it, I'm giddy with excitement when Holly and Paul end up together. Its just so romantic and lovely and how can you not love Audrey Hepburn playing a call girl?! While I don't aspire to be a call girl at all, I was really drawn to Audrey interpretation of Holly Golightly and wasn't her style to die for???????

"Charade"(1963):

Charade is such a marvelous suspense romantic comedy, that every time I watch it, its like I'm watching it for the first time. While the age difference is a lot(25 years to be exact), I never once winced at the thought of them together, they are a great romantic team. They are so funny towards one another and I love how, she is doing the chasing and not him. I could definitely have seen this film directed by Hitchcock, but lets be honest here, Stanley Donen made this film his own!

"Sabrina"(1954):

I can really relate to "Sabrina", as she starts off as a shy impish girl, but when she is shipped away to Paris, she becomes what she always wanted to be - a beautiful and sophisticated young woman. Now I don't know if I'm quite at the beautiful and sophisticated part, but I do know what it feels to be seemingly ignored and Sabrina is so relatable to me. Plus she and William Holden are amazing together, even though she ends up with older brother, Humphrey Bogart instead.

"Wait Until Dark"(1967):

It has been a while since I've seen "Wait Until Dark" but I remember when I first saw it, I was completely haunted by Hepburn's performance. Hepburn plays the role of a blind woman, who is being robbed in her house, and to make the game fair for the thieves, she breaks all of the lights, so they are just as blind as she. Its an incredibly brilliant film, that I definitely need to re-watch. Plus Alan Arkin is exceptionally cold and creepy in this film, it gave me the chills. He was THAT brilliant!

"How to Steal a Million"(1966):

Not only is the acting and direction absolute perfection, but the chemistry between Hepburn and O' Toole is to die for. You know they are just meant to be together, even though they start off on opposing sides, they are perfect together. And how gorgeous was this-

Also I have to admit, I love that her name in the movie is Nicole. :)

Aside from Myrna Loy, Audrey Hepburn is my favorite actress. She just seems to have such a warm and endearing personality, I mean really how can you not love her???????

Remember Me????????

Soooo, it has been nearly a year since I last blogged and now hopping right back in seems kind of odd to my readers, I'm sure. Why you ask am I coming back after nearly a year hiatus???? Well, honestly I was becoming quite disappointed with how unmotivated I was with my blog. I mean I remember back, when I first started my blog, I would blog all the time, and then BAM I started to loose focus and my ambition and goals for my blog disappeared through the years. Now I'm not saying, I'm going hop right back in and blog everyday(like I did with my 365 Series) but I will certainly try to blog at least 2-3 times a week. Now, I do know I've made these same promises before, but I've become a lot more focused these past couple of weeks(Lets just say I was in and out of ER!) and I feel that I should dip my feet back into the blogging pool. So I'm going to try to blog more and hopefully regain my followers interest again.
So see you all soon, and hopefully to talk about Jeffrey Lynn some more. ;)
