Thank you so much for this List!!! I'm excited about Bette Davis, Sidney Potier, Gloria Grahame, Harold Lloyd and Sterling Hayden. I don't care much for Merle Oberon or Jennifer Jones. I think it would be interesting to see Marion Davies films. I think her films are cute even though she could be a little annoying!
It's been about ten years since TCM did their last Marion Davies spotlight; good to see it again.
My birthday's August 22--Sterling Hayden day.
Its things like these that make it rubbish to live in England! I'm on a long summer holiday and would love most of these days!
i love summer under the stars! hurrah for jean arthur, gloria graham, and ida lupino especially, they need some love.
My birthday's August 10th, so I'll be having Dirk Bogarde films. I thought I would check out more of Merle's because I've only seen "Wuthering Heights" but I wasn't a big fan of it, but I am going to give her a second try. I loved Jennifer Jones in "Madame Bovary", I'm hoping to find a bit more movies that I want to see but so far the other JJ films I've seen I didn't really like. Again, I'm trying to give her a 2nd try, let's see how it goes right?
I jotted these down on a post it note like two days ago, I wish I had waited I could have printed your neat list :) I'm actually most excited about Miriam Hopkins.. no *?
Thanks so much for the list, Nicole! I'm most excited about Dirk Bogarde, Gloria Grahame, Sidney Poitier, Sterling Hayden, Angela Lansbury & Yul Brynner.
I'm not a big fan of Merle Oberon or Jennifer Jones, either. Although I totally adore Since You Went Away.
I always check the movies on my birthday, too! One year when I had huge crush on Jackie Cooper, TCM played White Banners on my birthday. It was the best present ever. :)
