365 Movies: The Last Picture Show Review

The Last Picture Show stars Timothy Bottoms, Jeff Bridges and Cybill Shepherd in this 1971 film, directed by Peter Bogdanovich. The film is about a small town in Texas, where nothing really happens. The films highlights the lives of a group of teens living in the town and you see what they do in the dull town. The film is quite long and at times, can be very boring. Timothy and Jeff were excellent to watch but the film was too slow for my liking. Nothing really goes on, except a lot of fooling around. The kids are in their teens and they are most definitely interested in the opposite sex, so the film is basically that. After seeing this and "Johnny Got his Gun", I can officially announce that, Timothy is a total dish, even if the films, he's in are totally weird.

Hey Nicole..been awhile since I've seen Last Picture Show. So I would have to view it again to compare notes. Did you know they did a sequel called Texasville back in the 90's? I didn't see it but I knew about it. Oh and I took a note from your playbook as for the month of March I will be watching at least one classic movie per night. You page is awesome by the way.
