365 Movies: Doctor, You've Got to Be Kidding! Review

Doctor, You've Got to Be Kidding! stars Sandra Dee, Celeste Holm, Bill Bixby, Dwayne Hickman, Dick Kallman, and George Hamilton in this 1967 film. The film is about Heather Halloran(Dee) who is often pushed by her Mother(Holm) to get into music industry. Always pushing it to the side, Heather completes college but once, she's finished, her Mom is once again trying. While her singing isn't getting her anywhere, Heather gets a job as a secretary. Her boss, Harlan W. Wycliff(Hamilton) is a know-it-all, and the two often clash. While she doesn't always get along with her boss, she does get along quite well with three guys. Her next door neighbor, Dick(Bixby) is often flirting with a lot of girls, but the two have a connection. Another guy, Hank(Hickman) instantly falls for her, because they both want to be in show business. And the last guy, Pat(Kallman) is helping her with her singing. All three men fall hard for Heather but her feelings for them are only out of friendship. It's a really goofy and fun film, to not take seriously. Sandra is so utterly charming as well as Celeste and Bill. Even though, he's bit of a cad, he's so darn lovable! I didn't think much of George Hamilton, but then again, I don't think he's all that great of an actor. I didn't feel that, they really developed a relationship between George's character and Sandra's character. I felt that there was more of a connection between Sandra and Bill. Overall, it was a pretty good film!

If you have the time, please read Millie's excellent review of this film. She gave me, the idea to check it out! http://classicforever.blogspot.com/2010/05/just-finished-watching-doctor-youve-got.html
