Pennsylvania, The Stars & Me

I don't know about you but I love finding out where stars were born, so yeah this whole blog post centers on stars who were born in Pennsylvania, where I'm from. I was born in Pennsylvania and I've lived here my whole life, though not in the same place. I thought it was so interesting to see which actor and actress was born here, anyone else as interested as I am, or am I crazy? Haha So I've complied a list together of stars from Pennsylvania(and where they are from) with pictures included. Enjoy!

W.C. Fields: Darby

Paul Douglas: Philadelphia

Grace Kelly:Philadelphia

Mario Lanza: Philadelphia

Larry Fine:Philadelphia (the only stooge from Philly)

Jeanette MacDonald:Philadelphia

Janet Gaynor: Philadelphia

James Stewart: Indiana(not the state, a town)

Fabian: Philadelphia

Debbie Reynold's and Elizabeth Taylor's ex-husband Eddie Fisher

Laird Cregar: Philadelphia

John Hodiak: Pittsburgh

Ethel Barrymore: Philadelphia

Lionel Barrymore: Philadelphia

Jayne Mansfield: Bryn Mawr

Frankie Avalon(Isn't it funny all of these California Beach Bums are from Philly?)

James Darren

William Powell: Pittsburgh

Broderick Crawford: Philadelphia(Anyone else agree, he was fantastic in Born Yesterday?)

John Barrymore: Philadelphia

Gene Kelly: Pittsburgh

On the Left Michael Callan: Philadelphia(He's most famous for the 2nd Gidget and Cat Ballou)

I love that both Grace Kelly and Janet Gaynor were from Philadelphia because I lived down there for a bit and plus they are two of my favorite actresses. :) I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Wow, you have a lot of amazing people born in your state!

And that is funny that all the beach guys come from Philadelphia! ;-D A couple from Gidget...and the Beach Party...and then random others (like the ultra-annoying Fabian).

The only star from my state is Bing Crosby. I actually live about an hour from the house where he was born.

Ohh wow that's pretty cool, have you ever visited it?

I only put Fabian there because I know he had made movies in the 60's but other than that I don't know much about him.
