Hayley Mills was the most popular child star of the 196o's through her countless disney films, which included "That Darn Cat" and "Pollyanna". The reason that Hayley Mills was such an icon in style is because young girls everywhere wanted to be just like and that included, dressing just like her. She was the pre-Hannah Montana(without scandals included, like it is today) and girls and boys alike wanted to be just like her. Hayley Mills represented a wholesome and fun child back in the 1960's, something that we rarely see at all in today's generation. Today, Hayley Mills will always be remembered for her charm and her delightful humor shown throughout her movies. Even though, she is now in her 60's, Miss Hayley Mills still resembles that fun child from the 1960's. As usual, now onto the pictures!
I hope you all enjoyed the pictures of Hayley Mills, as I said last week, this is the last Style Icon blog post for now. It's going on a bit of a hiatus for now, so I can bring back my other series, The Underdog Series back.
Oh I'd also like to add, if you never got the chance to check out Kate's blog post on Hayley, then you should definitely check it out. On that blog post, she did a painting of Hayley, which I might also add, is absolutely marvelous! Here it is- http://silentsandtalkies.blogspot.com/2009/04/hayley-mills-happy-belated-birthday.html
Ta-Ta for now :)

yay! thanks for doing the Hayley Mills post :D She really is a style icon-- I'm 22 and I still want to dress like her :)
I <3 me some Hayley Mills. She's so cool! I think she'll always be cool to me.
I think the way Hayley pulled off that cute wardrobe in The Moonspinners is enough to make her a style icon. I wanted everything she wore in that movie! I love these pictures.
Great post, lovely pictures! :)
I wouldn't have thought her stylish until I saw the pictures, but she sure is! I've only seen her in "That Darn Cat" and "The Parent Trap," though, so limited exposure. I really love some of these pics!
aw, I love her!! great photos, I really love the canoe picture!!
I love Hayley Mills! Her and Annette Funicello were such great role models for girls of the 1950's and 1960's. I sort of wonder what she thinks of people like Miley Cyrus and Vanessa Hudgens (if she does at all) who have pretty much ruined the wholesome persona that Disney stars were supposed to have of their time period. Annette wasn't even allowed to show her belly button in the beach movies! (haha even though I think she did).
Anyways, great post!
I tagged you! http://silentsandtalkies.blogspot.com/2009/08/elizabeths-two-sisters-tag.html
