365 Movies: Charade Review

Charade stars Audrey Hepburn, Cary Grant, Walter Matthau, James Coburn, and George Kennedy, in this 1963 Stanley Donen film. After the mysterious death of her rich husband, Regina Lampert(Hepburn) finds it difficult to trust anyone, because they are all after money, that her husband had. The one person, she seems to confide in most is Peter Joshua(Grant) a sophisticated and attractive older man. Peter acts very shady at times, and its hard for Regina to believe, whether he's with her or against her. The film is stylish, cool, sexy, and very very funny. Cary and Audrey are so magnetic, when they are in a scene together and the chemistry between the two of them is hot! Even at the age of 59, Cary looks absolutely amazing for his age! I really think, that this is my favorite Audrey Hepburn film. Everything about this film, works so precisely and everything about it, is wonderfully dashing. I love the witty dialog in this film especially.

Have you seen 'Wait Until Dark?' I saw 'Charade' before that and thought the screaming was hilarious because it kept making me think of 'Charade.' That scene in the phone booth with the matches!

Love Manicini's music and the future Oscar winners as the bad guys...can you pick them out? ;)

You've really been on a roll with these reviews! Way to go!

That should have been "Mancini"; I only worship his music, why would I bother spelling his name correctly?
