365 Movies: Dial M for Murder Review

Dial M for Murder stars Ray Milland, Grace Kelly, Robert Cummings, and John Williams in this 1954, Alfred Hitchcock film. After learning of his wife's affair, Tony Wendice(Milland) sets out a plan to have her murdered. Tony hires an old college friend of his, to commit the murder but things go completely different than planned. Instead of Margot(Kelly) being murdered, the man he hired is killed instead. Tony has to come up with another plan, to get rid of his wife now, that plans have changed. It's a film that leaves you on the edge of your seating and keeps you wondering what'll happen next. Ray is excellent as the deluded husband. He owns this film! My eyes were glued to the screen, when he came on. The story is so intriguing and fascinating and I think the entire cast does wonderfully. I think the performance Chief Inspector Hubbard(Williams) is very underrated and I loved his witty attitude. Grace and Robert were gorgeous and wonderfully great in this film.
