How did it all begin?

Just a little Q + A about how I became interested in old movies. :) You can join in if you want to.

Who was the first actor/actress that you were first interested in? For me, it was James Dean and it still is. Although I don't talk about him as much, I still love watching his movies and finding out stuff about him. In fact half my wall in my room is covered in James Dean pictures. :)

How old were you when you really began watching old movies? Hmm I was probably 16/17 when I started watching old movies but I was younger when I was watching The Three Stooges(9) and listening to Frank Sinatra(12)

What was the first old movie that caught your interest? Probably "Guys and Dolls", which I watched like 4 years ago. I was in my Frank Sinatra phase because I loved his music and I knew that I would love his movies as well.

Who is currently your favorite actor? I'm always switching from one actor to another but right now it's Jeffrey Lynn and has been for quite a while.

Who is currently your favorite actress? Right now it's Audrey Hepburn( I just watched How to Steal a Million)

What is your favorite old movie and why? My favorite old movie is "The Lady Eve" with Barbara Stanwyck and Henry Fonda. The comedy is perfect in that movie and the chemistry between Barbara and Henry is marvelous. :)

How many old movies do you own? Not many because I just started buying old movies. I probably have close to 40 movies.

How many old movies do you have recorded/ on the dvr? Way too many, I have like 126 movies on my dvr. :P

If you could go back in time and visit any actor/actress, who would it be? I would have loved to have met James Dean or Jeffrey Lynn. Actress wise, I would love to meet Janet Gaynor.

Who is one actor/actress that you want to know more about? I would like to know more about Priscilla Lane and her sisters

What film could you watch over and over again? I could watch "Love with the Proper Stranger" over and over again and never get tired of it.

What is your favorite Hitchcock film? My favorite is probably "Rebecca'' or "Vertigo".

Who is your favorite director? I love William A. Wellman and Billy Wilder.

If you want to do it, go right ahead. :-)

You just watched How to Steal a Million--- how did you like it? It's my all time fav. Audrey Hepburn movie, and the one that got me hooked on classic film!

& The Lady Eve is Fantastic!! I just got it on DVD last December after giving up just waiting for it to come on TCM.

& "Way too many, I have like 126 movies on my dvr." Wait until a few years pass and you'll think 126 was tiny... currently 1083 and counting!

Sarah- Hahah Thats funny

Kate Gabrielle- I liked How to Steal a Million, Audrey and Peter played off each other really well. I loved the scene when she was running away and spots the guard and starts running and it's Peter dressed up. They were great together.

I'm hoping to own The Lady Eve soon, that movie cracks me up every time. lol

Oh my gosh, that is a lot of movies. lol :)

Bubblewrap - I love Janet Gaynor and Charles Farrell as a couple. They are so incredibly underrated.

Lolita- Thats so cool, James Dean is great. :)

That's pretty cool how your previous interest in Frank Sinatra led you into old movies in a way.
