365 Movies: Three for the Show Review

Three for the Show stars Betty Grable, Jack Lemmon, and Marge and Gower Champion in this 1955 musical. The film is about Julie Lowndes(Grable) who finds out her first husband(whom she believed died) is alive and well and doesn't know, she is married to his best friend! The film is a remake of the classic 1940 film, "Too Many Husbands"(that starred Jean Arthur and Melvyn Douglas) and is similar to the 1940 film "My Favorite Wife"(that starred Cary Grant and Irene Dunne, with the roles reversed!) I absolutely adore this version, even though they turned it into a musical. I just find the entire cast absolutely adorable and sweet and it's fun to watch, the four of them bickering at one another. It's a fun film to watch, that left me smiling at the end. Jack, Betty, Marge, and Gower are the perfect examples of absolute cuteness! Out of the versions that were made, my favorite is the 1940, "Too Many Husbands", but this comes in a close second. So delightfully fun!
