Goodbye Annette....

When I heard that Annette Funicello had passed away, my entire heart broke in half. It's not just because she was an extraordinary actress or that when she sung she instantly put a smile on your face, no my reason for being so incredibly upset of her passing was because she fought such a strong battle with her disease. Annette Funicello was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 25 years ago, and she never stopped fighting. In later years of her life, she was completely unable to walk or talk. which completely devastates me because she brought so much joy with her bright disposition and her uplifting personality. The thing that really destroys me most is that my own Grandmother died from complications from MS. My Grandmother went through the exact same hell as Annette, and I just feel like I'm losing my Grandmother all over again. I never knew my Grandmother(she died in 1976 at the age of 37) but I always pictured her to have the personality of Annette Funicello. So as  I end this blog post, I just want every one of you guys and gals to cherish the life you have, and even if things get rough to always look at the positive things that have happened or what may happen. Never forget your life could always be worse than what it is. Rest in Peace Dear Annette, you will NEVER be forgotten and you will ALWAYS be cherished and loved.

I have always loved Annette, and I remember how sad I was when she made the announcement of her MS all those years ago (I was child back then, but I loved watching her films). After living with this for so long, it's nice to know that she has finally found peace. Thank you for this post.
